Snowflake Cards: A sample project for our new Snowflakes Template Mini-Pack

We’ve just returned from International Quilt Market/Festival in Houston and are finalizing everything needed to make our new Template Mini-Packs available by the end of the week via our online store.

To whet your appetite for just a couple more days, I thought I’d post a project made with the Snowflakes Mini-Pack. These cards are incredibly easy to make, but oh-so-stunning!  (Of course, you could make these with the new Filigree template shapes as well.)

The cards started as a photo of peacock feathers which I found online at a royalty-free photo site. You can click on the photo below to go to the site and download your own copy. (To download the full-size photo on the site, you’ll need to click on the Download button below the photo, then right-click on the larger photo that appears and choose “Save image as” or something similar.)

Original photo used to make the snowflake cards.

After running the photo through Kaleidoscope Kreator with four different template shapes from the Snowflakes Template Mini-Pack, I had four different snowflake designs to use for a set of cards:

Kaleidoscope #1

Kaleidoscope #2

Kaleidoscope #3

Kaleidoscope #4
